In their war against piracy, Microsoft has won a copyright lawsuit against local computer dealer Vital IT Marketing Services for pre-installing unlicensed Microsoft Software into the new computers that they sold on April 4, 2012.
In addition to this, a three-member panel, chaired by Justice Zaharah Ibrahim, unanimously dismissed Vital IT Marketing Services Sdn Bhd's application to appeal against the High Court's decision, saying the judgment by the then judicial commissioner, Hanipah Farikullah was good and ordered Vital IT to pay Microsoft RM30,000.
