After weeks of speculation, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg today unveiled Facebook's newest feature, Graph Search. Graph Search is an internal search tool designed to quickly return specific information based on specific queries related to your Facebook connections. Zuckerberg used the example, "Who are my friends in San Francisco?" and Graph Search will return the answers.
Graph Search will be found in the blue bar at the top of the Facebook page. It will have an auto suggest feature, similar to Google's search box so, for example, if you type "friends who", it will try to auto-complete with the most common queries. It will also accept compound queries, so you can search for, "Friends who like Star Wars AND Harry Potter" for a big movie night.

Zuckerberg went on to highlight Graph Search's functionality for enterprise and business. Recruiters might try searching for, "People who have been product managers AND who have been founders", or alternatively, "Friends of current employees".
Graph Search might also be useful for finding acquaintances you've met but can't remember enough about to find on Facebook later. For example, if you met someone at a party, you might try searching for "People named Chris who are friends of Lars and went to Stanford." Zuckerberg added that it can be useful for dating too: "Friends of friends who are single men in San Francisco".
As well as people, Graph Search will have search functionality for photos, places and interests. Zuckerberg also mentioned that eventually, Graph Search will also add functionality for comments, mobile, as well as other languages.
