Seven outstanding local software developers and their teams were recently honored for their innovative software development skills by Microsoft Malaysia. As participants of Microsoft's WOWZAPP 2012 Hackathon for Windows in November 2012, they were presented awards at the company's office premises on Level 26, KLCC Petronas Tower 3 for besting over 413 students and software developers.

Part of WOWZAPP 2012 Worldwide Hackathon, WOWZAPP Malaysia 2012 was designed to demonstrate the ease of developing apps for Microsoft's new Windows 8 operating system. Held at the Multimedia University in Cyberjaya, it was also created to help build the local community of software developers for Made in Malaysia IP assets through enhancing their software development skills.
